GK Shanghai was established in 2004 and is the youngest company within the GK Design Group. The company is composed of a mixed Chinese and Japanese design team, with Chinese design characterized by boldness and modernity, contrasting sharply with the refined aesthetic of Japanese design and Eastern sensibilities. Through continuous collaboration and accumulation of experience, we proposed the concept of "Understanding China, Understanding Japan." This concept represents the company's deep exploration of cross-cultural design and emphasizes the importance of designers thoroughly understanding and integrating the cultures and design philosophies of both China and Japan. Design knows no boundaries, and the "Understanding China, Understanding Japan" concept embodies the fusion and innovation of Chinese and Japanese design, stressing mutual understanding, respect, and cooperation, and providing guidance for designers from both countries to collaboratively create a better future.
